Tech Support - Want to be notified when someone makes a new comment or post? Here's How:

More tech support comin your way....

Oh, and I also changed the background. A Halloween theme just wouldn't do anymore.
Anywho, back to the subject matter. Want to know when someone writes a new post or comment? You can be notified via e-mail. If you're one of those people who is online pretty much 24/7 (like me) or you're just a loyal blog follower, you may be interested in getting these notifications. If you don't want to get an e-mail everytime someone writes on the blog, then just disregard this post.

To be notified whenever someone makes a NEW POST:
1. Make sure you are signed into the WOODWARDBLOG account and not your own!
2. Click on the "New Post" link
3. Go to the "Settings" tab at the top of the page
4. Under Settings, click on the "Email" link that is sitting between "Site Feed" and "OpenID"
5. In the box next to "BlogSend Address" type the e-mail address(es) you would like to have a notification sent to. Please note that it does not have to be your gmail email address; you can write any email address you prefer.
6. Click on "Save Settings"

To be notified whenever someone makes NEW COMMENT:
1. Make sure you are signed into the WOODWARDBLOG account and not your own!
2. Click on the "New Post" link
3. Go to the "Settings" tab at the top of the page
4. Under Settings, click on the "Comments" link
5. Scroll down to the bottom of the page; Write the email address(es) you would like to have notifications sent to in the box next to "Comment Notification Email"
7. Click on "Save Settings"

Congratulations, you are now one step closer to becoming a blog guru. May the force be with you, young padawan.

Thanks, Jules! I added my name to both notification lists. Perhaps with your help, I am advancing from tech pygmy to tech dwarf (I've got a ways to go yet before I'm a guru.) I notice there's only a few of us using the blog so far yet. We'll have to think of some kind of motivation to get people on it more often. (Maybe some random silly prizes for people who make entries?)

Oops. A little impatient with the "publish your comment" button.
